This is an impressive museum grade mortality plate of Ophiura brittle stars from the Ordovician aged Kataoua Formation of South Morocco. The plate is approximately 39,5x17,5x2,5cm and contains at least 5 complete or near complete brittle star fossils. The detail on this piece is wonderful.  Their outline have also been excavated to highlight the specimens. There is present in the mortality plate a beautiful huge Carpoid and a tiny Edrioasteroid.

Ordovician aged brittle stars (Ophiura sp) from the Tiouririne Formation, with its outcrops in South Morocco. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidation of iron sulfide.
